Thanks to the tremendous response to the Edelweiss Chairlift Auction, The Summit will be donating $17,000 to Easton School.

With the State of Washington recently cancelling all Outdoor Education funding for schools, the timing of this incredible donation from The Summit at Snoqualmie is perfect! Easton School District will be able to continue to provide outdoor learning experiences and opportunities for all our students.

🌋 Easton School 7th & 8th Grade Mt. Saint Helens & Ape Caves Adventure! 🥾 Our incredible 7th and 8th graders from Easton School just returned from a 3-day outdoor adventure they won’t soon forget! The trip took them deep into the blast zone of Mt. Saint Helens, where they hiked through dramatic volcanic landscapes, and underground into the Ape Caves lava tubes, one of the longest lava tubes in North America. This wasn't just about exploration—students took charge by setting up their own campsites and preparing their own meals, building independence, teamwork, and life skills with every step. 🌋 Easton School Grades 4–6 Explore Mount St. Helens! 🔍🧪 Our 4th, 5th, and 6th grade students had an amazing experience at the Mount St. Helens Institute, where they spent several days immersed in hands-on science and outdoor learning! Staying at the Mount St. Helens Learning Center, with breathtaking views of the volcano right outside their windows, students participated in action-packed inquiry-based science activities—exploring geology, ecology, and the powerful story of the 1980 eruption. From guided hikes to interactive experiments, our students brought curiosity, energy, and teamwork to every challenge. It was a fantastic opportunity to connect classroom learning with the natural world, all while creating unforgettable memories.
