By proclamation of the Governor of Washington State, January is School Board Recognition Month. This is a great time to recognize our elected community members who donate their time and energy to support our students, staff, and school.
As the Superintendent of Easton School District, I would like to thank our Board of Directors for their dedication and service to our students, staff, and community. The members of the Easton School Board are: Hailey Rarden, Board Chair; Jen Phillips, Vice Chair; Phil Meehan; Jason Meuli, and Chris Helgeson.
Board members volunteer their time and work tirelessly to ensure our school district provides a safe, financially sound, and academically rich environment. They are charged with making difficult decisions. At times, their work is very stressful, but it is essential that the Board works to support the school and staff. They are serving to improve the education of all our students through collaboration and public school advocacy.
This January, I’m encouraging the community to thank a Board Member. They volunteer and spend considerable time away from their families to help support the hopes and dreams of all students at Easton School District.
